Keeping Mum: shy singer Rebecca Fergusson wows the judges Pic: © Talkback Thames X Factor has opened doors to many young singers throughout the years, giving people the chance to achieve their dreams and the Manchester auditions were no different. Young mum Rebecca Fergusson, who lives in Liverpool with her two children, has always loved singing and hoped the X Factor would give her the chance to fulfil the dreams she thought she’d lost forever. Talking to Dermot before the audition she said: “When I got pregnant with Lily, everyone just said you’re life’s over.” The 23-year-old was clearly rocked by her experiences as a young mum telling the X Factor : “I was very confident as a child, I was very, very cocky. I was always singing and always dancing and then when I got pregnant with Lily, everyone just said you’re life’s over, you’re never going to become anything. I started to think well maybe I won’t be able to become a singer.
