Following on from all the previous action, Big Brother has had an array of fun-filled days since Pamela’s eviction. We have seen a shopping challenge, Tara losing it, Lucian getting involved in a love triangle and a couple of crazy tasks.
On Tuesday, we saw Jedward win the clearly rigged shopping task. To start the housemates were invited to test their strength. All the housemates had to hold out two bags of cotton wool at arm’s length without lowering their arms. The four people that went through, John, Edward, Kerry and Bobby somehow managed to outlast Tara, Amy, Darryn, in shape Lucien and ex-fighter and weight lifter Paddy. The next part of the task involved destruction… I wonder who that was aimed at? John and over more than Bobby and Kerry, they were crowned the winners. As the victors, Jedward got to do a late-night trolley dash around a supermarket. The boys picked up hundreds of bags or sweets and a couple of thousand bananas, but only two loafs of bread and barely any meat or potatoes as just about everybody expected.
Wednesday night was the third eviction night. Even though Tara thought she would be the last person to be evicted, she unsurprisingly (to many) ended up leaving the house. Looking as shocked as Darryn when Jedward returned from the shopping task, Tara sat down for her interview. Here she told Brian, that the editing team must have done a good job as showing her bad bits. When the reality is, if she didn’t act crazy, then people could not have thought that about her.
The most talked about development over the last few days was the love triangle between Amy, Kerry and Lucien. In the previous weeks, we have seen Lucien try and make his way around the women in the house. He declared (early on) that he liked Pamela’s experience, and he tried it on (albeit not a lot) with Tara, and we all know the events that have happened with Kerry. Well now Lucien has started to focus on a seemingly unwilling (accept for when she has had a few drinks) Amy.
Even though Lucien has made a switch to Amy, he is still showing signs of interest toward Kerry. After the eviction party, Lucien, Amy and Darryn were talking in the garden. After having too much to drink, they started talking about if Lucien and Amy had any feelings for one another. Lucien said that he would love to take Amy out when they got out of the house. As Lucien went away for a second, Darryn asked Amy if she fancied Lucien, and she replied no, not at all. Later in the evening, Darryn asked the same question when Lucian was there, and she had changed her mind. As Darryn left Lucien and Amy to go to bed, the two cuddled up. Deciding that it was a good time to go to bed, they ended up together having a quick fumble and a kiss in Amy’s bed before falling asleep.
The situation (to the viewers) is clear. Amy has no sexual feelings for Lucien but does not want to tell him. Kerry is getting more and more jealous because she actually likes him (even though it may be through boredom.) Lucien loves the attention from Kerry but clearly has stronger feelings for Amy, who now seems to be leading him astray. However, the situation is changing from day to day so who knows what tomorrow will bring!
