Since the departure of Sally, the house has been rather quiet, apart from Jedward, who seemingly have an unlimited amount of energy. The eviction of Sally did not come as a surprise to many of the housemates who already had her walking the proverbial plank way before the eviction.
This week the tasks have taken the limelight rather than the housemates themselves. On Sunday, celebrity chef Marco Pierre White came into the house to teach and judge the pairs cooking talents; Amy and Bobby, Darryn and Pamela, Kerry and Paddy, Luicien and Tara and surprisingly enough Jedward. Lucien and Tara won the task and were treated to their favourite dinners while Jedward lost the task and were made to clean up the kitchen….. The outcome of which was predictable. Jedward trashed the Kitchen, pouring olive oil on the floor and using it as a slip and slide was a highlight of their cleanup.
Following on from this debacle we had the nominations. This quickly became a disaster for Pamela, who was voted for by everyone but Jedward. Darryn did not come off to well either. Many of the housemates voted for him for being overbearing, apart from Jedward, who used snoring as an ‘excuse.’ Before the nominations, Big Brother said to the housemates that talking about nominations would be seen as a rule break, seemingly to catch one or two of them out. Even though you may have expected Amy or Jedward to slip up, on that same evening, Bobby and Tara had a conversation about Lucien, which broke the rules. Big Brother sat all the housemates down before running them through the conversation much to the surprise of Bobby, for some reason. Big Brother punished all the housemates by taking away the hot water until further notice. However, instead of drama, everybody got on with it like nothing had happened. As the night progressed, Lucien seemed to be getting increasingly annoyed with the events. Just before bed time, Lucien discussed the events with Kerry claiming that he was not bothered in the “I am clearly bothered way” before sneaking a bit of a cheeky friendly kiss, which has led to a lot of flirting between the two of them.
As followers of the show will know a screening of Fright Night (a vampire movie) took place in the house on the thirteenth day, and the task was simple, out eat your opponent and watch the movie. The problem was that everything had been laced with copious amounts of garlic. The celebrities were divided up into groups and had to eat/drink; Garlic Smoothie, cereal, ice cream, chocolate and jelly. After a lot of vomiting and some determination, Tara, Bobby, Pamela, John and Paddy got to watch a screening of the movie much to their delight. After a bit of talking, people started to come to the conclusion that Tara is a bit of a game player and slightly two faced, which probably means that she will be a focal point of the Saturday eviction.
The eviction shows task was named double trouble. It allowed Lucien to act as Darryn, Bobby to act like Pamela, Kerry to act like Paddy and Tara to act like Amy. After initial judgement, Jedward (the head twins) voted for Amara and Perry to progress to the final round where Perry won. In one of the strangest events of the series so far a late-night discussion Pamela was discussing a near-death experience on a motorbike, and Lucien burst out laughing. He walked off to gather himself only to come back apologise and do the same again. He then gave up and walked into the house. The second person to be evicted was unsurprisingly Pamela whose interview was about as boring as watching paint dry. However, as Big Brother said at the start of the show, there would be a surprise. This was that Pamela got to pick the four people who would be up for nomination live after seeing who voted for her. She picked to save Jedward, Paddy, Amy and Kerry leaving Tara, Darryn, Lucian and Bobby up for eviction.
