Ryan Seacrest from the earlier days In yesterday’s paper, I wrote a column about Ryan Seacrest . Someone I quoted, Tom Sullivan (formerly of Star 94) emailed me about how the then boss Mark Kanov didn’t even know about Seacrest at first, that he was kind of Sullivan’s pet project when Sullivan was a night jock. This reminded me that I wrote my first story about Seacrest more than eight years ago, less than a month after “Idol” launched in 2002.
